Team Building Event Bundeswehr 2. Kp Panzerbataillon 363

Our event concept combines city exploration, puzzle fun and team spirit in a Geocaching adventure — exactly what we experienced on August 26, 2024 in Dresden.

As the CityHunters team guide I welcomed a group of 11 Bundeswehr participants (2nd Company, Armored Battalion 363) at 4:00 PM at the Brühlschen Garten. After a brief introduction to the format and the rules we split the group into two teams and equipped the participants with the necessary tools. The excitement was palpable: an ideal starting point for a real team building experience in Dresden.

The route led the teams across Dresden's city centre past landmarks such as the Frauenkirche, the Semperoper and the Zwinger. Small puzzle stations and creative team tasks repeatedly produced aha moments and laughter. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and jointly completed tasks, and a healthy, motivating competitive spirit quickly emerged.

During the tour the teams were mostly on their own but could call me by phone if needed. This balance between independent exploration and guided support makes our Geocaching format so effective as a team building experience in Dresden: sharing responsibility, communicating and finding solutions together.

After about two and a half hours we met again at the Brühlschen Garten for the award ceremony. The mood was great, the weather cooperated and the participants clearly enjoyed the blend of sightseeing and challenge. Unexpectedly, or perhaps because of that, the winning team Geohunter came out on top with 0 points on paper but with many shared memories and smiling faces to show for it.

Experiences like this demonstrate how powerful a team building experience in Dresden can be: the combination of an urban backdrop, tricky tasks and shared time strengthens cohesion in a lasting way. I’m already looking forward to the next adventure in Dresden and to more groups who want to discover the city in this interactive way.
