Team Building Event Sochiera-Nelles-Studier
The concept of our Murder Mystery Geocaching event combines city discovery with teamwork and tricky puzzles — a perfect format for a team building experience in Cologne.
On 23 August 2024 at 9:30 AM I, as the team guide, welcomed the 18 participants from the company Sochiera-Nelles-Studier at Theo-Burauen-Platz. After a brief introduction and distribution of the tablets, the guests were divided into three teams. The special app on the devices guided the teams through the city and presented the different cases to solve. Familiar corners and sights became an exciting playing field for real detectives.
The route took the teams to notable spots in Cologne — past Cologne Cathedral, the Hohenzollern Bridge and Museum Ludwig — with puzzle stations and team challenges along the way where points could be earned. The groups were left to their own devices throughout the round and engaged in a fair competition for the highest score. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles, creative teamwork and clever solutions to the tasks.
I was reachable by phone for the entire duration in case of technical questions or other inquiries. The weather cooperated, with sunshine lifting the spirits — ideal conditions for an active team building experience in Cologne. The blend of technology and adventure meant everyone experienced the city from a fresh perspective while strengthening team cohesion.
After exactly three hours all teams met again at Theo-Burauen-Platz for the awards ceremony. It was great to see how different the teams' approaches were and how much fun everyone had. First place went to team Chaos with 270 points. In second place were the Schnüffelnasen with 255 points, and team Unlösbaren took third, also with 255 points.
This Murder Mystery Geocaching once again showed how effective and enjoyable a team building experience in Cologne can be: thrilling challenges, shared successes and many unforgettable moments in a vibrant city. I am already looking forward to the next time!
