Team Building Event APO Data-Service GmbH
Our Murder Mystery Geocaching combines city exploration, puzzle-solving fun, and teamwork into a thrilling event concept that turns participants into real investigators.
As the team guide, I had the pleasure of welcoming the 12 colleagues from APO Data-Service GmbH at Grabbeplatz in Düsseldorf on August 16, 2024 at 4:15 PM. After a brief introduction and dividing into three teams, the groups received their tablets with the app that led them to exciting crime scenes and challenges across the city. Thus began an intense, laughter-filled and focused experience, a genuine example of a team building experience in Düsseldorf.
The teams were left to their own devices during the tour and competed in a friendly contest for the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and for joint team tasks; I was available by phone at any time if support was needed. The route took the groups past well-known sights — a look at the Rheinturm, a detour near the Königsallee, and a pass by the Museum Kunstpalast provided varied moments for the staff and little discoveries along the way. The weather was on our side, so the mood was already very positive while out and about.
After three hours everyone met back at Grabbeplatz for the awards ceremony. The winning team was Die Flamingos with an impressive 240 points. In second place were Die Mäuse with 165 points, closely followed by SLA with 150 points. As the results were read out, there was great joy — winners and challengers exchanged anecdotes and confirmed how much fun this form of a team building experience can be.
For me it was another great example of how effective team building experience works in Düsseldorf: short impulses, shared successes, and plenty of room for collaboration and communication. Whether solving tricky cases or celebrating together at the end, such events strengthen cohesion and create memories that continue to resonate in everyday team life.
