Team Building Event PAUL HARTMANN AG
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of leading a special team building event on August 7, 2024 at 2:30 PM: 11 colleagues from PAUL HARTMANN AG met at the Radisson Blu Senator Hotel in Lübeck to combine Geocaching with exploring the city. After a warm welcome and a short briefing the teams received their tasks and the technical support — the CityHunters app on tablets — and off they went.
The group was divided into two teams and set off full of enthusiasm. As guide I was reachable by phone at all times but stayed subtly in the background: during the tour the teams were on their own and competed against each other in a friendly rivalry. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles, creatively completing tasks and finding small hidden clues — all in line with our concept for team building experiences in Lübeck.
The mix of puzzles and urban adventure led the participants through Lübeck’s beautiful old town. Between the historic Holstentor, the impressive St. Mary’s Church and the peaceful charm of the St. Anne’s Museum Quarter intense team moments emerged: joint problem-solving, tactical planning and lots of laughter. That’s exactly what makes our Geocaching the ideal format for team building experiences in Lübeck — discovering the city, working together and sharing successes.
The weather was on our side and contributed to a positive atmosphere: not too hot, pleasant and ideal for an active tour through the streets and alleys. After 2.5 hours everyone met again at the Radisson Blu Senator Hotel for the awards ceremony, eager to hear the competition results.
The suspense was quickly over: the winners were the colleagues from team Saugstarken with 210 points, closely followed by Die Marzipaner with 195 points. Applause for both teams was loud and the mood fantastic. Experiences like this strengthen bonds and remain memorable for a long time.
