Team Building Event KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft
On 26 July 2024 I joined as a CityHunters team guide to lead a Geocaching event for eight colleagues from KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft in Hanover. We met at Opera Square, where I welcomed the group and, after a short briefing, split them into two teams. The mood was immediately upbeat and curious — a perfect start for a genuine team building experience in Hanover.
After a concise introduction the teams received tablets with our CityHunters app and I went over the format one more time. Then they were off: both teams made their way through the city center, largely on their own, competing in a friendly race for the highest score. In this kind of team building experience in Hanover, smart thinking, clear communication and shared creativity are what count.
The Scavenger Hunt took the teams past many notable sights. From the view of the New Town Hall to the historic atmosphere around the Market Church and on to the Leineschloss, there was plenty to discover. At each stop there were puzzles and team challenges that could only be solved together. I stayed reachable by phone throughout and helped out wherever needed.
The weather cooperated and helped create a festive atmosphere: sunshine, great spirits and plenty of aha moments while uncovering hidden clues. It was especially nice to see colleagues encouraging one another, bringing different strengths to the table and growing together as a team. That perfectly reflects our concept: an engaging team building experience in Hanover combined with exciting city exploration.
After three hours everyone met back at Opera Square for the awards ceremony. The MMS Team emerged as winners with an impressive 360 points. In second place was the Kern Team with 315 points. The winners received medals — a fitting end to an afternoon of effort and fun.
Events like this demonstrate once again that Geocaching in Hanover blends curiosity, competition and genuine teamwork. I am already looking forward to the next team building event and to inspiring more teams to try a team building experience in Hanover.
