Team Building Event Haus Edelberg Seniorenzentrum Östringen
Geocaching as an event concept combines puzzle fun, physical activity and a shared sense of achievement — exactly what we experienced yesterday during our team building experience in Östringen.
As a CityHunters team guide I met the 14 participants from Haus Edelberg Senior Center promptly at 4:30 PM on Marienweg in Östringen. After a brief introduction, distribution of the tablets with our CityHunters app and splitting into four teams, the discovery tour through Östringen's charming town center began.
During the tour the teams explored different parts of the town, visited the historic old town as well as the town hall and the city church, and earned points by solving tricky puzzles and completing creative tasks. Each team worked independently and competed in a friendly contest for the most points — the excitement and motivation were high, just how a good team building experience in Östringen should be.
Tasks ranged from cracking codes and observation challenges to small team tasks that encouraged collaboration. I stayed available by phone throughout in case any questions came up or technical support was needed. The weather cooperated, so the atmosphere stayed relaxed and cheerful — perfect conditions for a team building experience in Östringen.
After 2.5 hours all groups reconvened at the starting point for the awards ceremony. The podium was hotly contested: first place went to team PUMA with 240 points, followed by Strassenbande 12345 with 195 points and Die Orientierungslosen with 150 points. The top three teams received well-deserved medals and applause from all participants.
It was impressive to see how differently the teams approached the tasks and how quickly teamwork developed. Those shared successes are exactly what a team building experience in Östringen is about — exploration, fun and genuine camaraderie.
