Team Building Event Act.3
As a team guide for CityHunters I had the pleasure of leading a special event for the company Act.3 on July 23, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Fourteen cheerful participants met at Klarissenplatz, where I welcomed them warmly and gave a brief overview of the schedule. After dividing into six teams, each group received the necessary instructions and a short introduction to the CityHunters app and how to use the tablet — and so our shared adventure began.
The subsequent Geocaching tour led the teams across Nuremberg's Old Town. There were plenty of chances to see the city with fresh eyes: from the impressive Nuremberg Castle and the atmospheric Albrecht Dürer House to St. Lorenz — the route blended famous sights with hidden corners. Time and again it became clear how well sightseeing and a team building experience can go together in Nuremberg.
During the tour the teams were largely on their own and competed against each other in a friendly contest. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and for creative team challenges. I was reachable by phone the entire time to help with questions or technical issues — the perfect mix of independence and dependable support.
The weather was wonderful, so the mood was positive and motivating from the start. The challenges encouraged communication, finding roles, and shared decision-making — exactly what a team building experience in Nuremberg aims for. It was great to see each group bring in their strengths and grow closer together.
After three hours all teams met back at Klarissenplatz for the awards ceremony. First place went to Team Global with 175 points, closely followed by Coco Gelati with 150 points. Congratulations to the winners and well done to all participants for their commitment and enthusiasm.
Events like this show that a team building experience in Nuremberg can be playful, exciting, and deeply bonding. For me as a guide it is always a special feeling to accompany teams as they discover the city, solve puzzles, and return as a strengthened group.
