Team Building Event Gesellschaft für Soziale Arbeit. München gGmbH
As a CityHunters team guide I led an exciting Geocaching event on July 23, 2024 at 10:00 for the Gesellschaft für Soziale Arbeit München gGmbH and it was a complete success. Our group of 11 participants met at Max-Joseph-Platz, where I welcomed everyone, explained the plan and split the group into two teams. Shortly afterwards the teams received their tablets and a walk through of the app so that everyone was well prepared for the tour through Old Town.
The atmosphere was great from the start: sunny weather, curious faces and lots of excitement for the shared adventure. During the tour the teams moved independently and enjoyed a friendly competition for the highest score. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and creative team tasks, classic elements that bring our Geocaching experience to life. I remained available by phone throughout in case any questions or small issues arose.
Our route took the teams to both well known and hidden spots in the city centre of Old Town. Along the way the stations offered surprising insights, little anecdotes about city history and tasks that encouraged cooperation and creativity. This is a particularly good way to experience a team building experience in Old Town: you get to see the city in a new light, work together and celebrate shared successes. Landmarks such as the Frauenkirche, the Deutsches Museum and the New Town Hall provided an inspiring backdrop for many of the challenges.
After exactly three hours everyone met again at Max-Joseph-Platz for the awards ceremony. Cheers greeted the announcement of the winning team Team Moussaka with 180 points. Second place was also Team Moussaka with a respectable 165 points, making it a close and exciting race. Overall this event once again demonstrated how well a team building experience in Old Town can be combined with fun and adventure.
For me as a guide days like this are especially valuable: you can see how quickly trust and team spirit grow. Anyone who wants to discover Old Town and at the same time strengthen working relationships will find that Geocaching offers the perfect mix. A team building experience in Old Town that day was not just part of the program but a truly lived experience.
