Team Building Event Ed. Züblin AG
Frankfurt is a city of contrasts, history and surprising corners.
On July 17, 2024 at 10:15 a.m. I had the pleasure of welcoming 26 colleagues from Ed. Züblin AG to Friedrich-Stoltze-Platz as a CityHunters team guide. After a short introduction, each group received a tablet with the preinstalled CityHunters app, which I explained, and off they went: we split the participants into four teams and sent them on an exciting Geocaching tour through the city center.
During the tour the teams moved independently, competing in a friendly contest for the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and for creative team tasks, which required observation, communication and collective problem solving. I stayed reachable by phone in case questions came up and enjoyed the feedback along the way: laughter, moments of discovery and internal team strategies made clear how much a team building experience brings people together in Frankfurt.
The route took teams past well-known landmarks and to hidden spots alike. Between the Römer, Kaiserdom St. Bartholomäus and the Alte Oper there were repeated little aha moments as clues were put together. The weather was fine — pleasant for a city walk and perfect for staying active. Conditions like that support exactly what matters: fun, exchange and shared feelings of accomplishment.
After about three hours we met back at Friedrich-Stoltze-Platz for the award ceremony. The winning team Hellfire took the trophy, surprisingly with zero points but with plenty of team spirit and good humour. Moments like that show that Geocaching is not just about numbers but about memories that connect. This event was a clear example of how a team building experience in Frankfurt brings out new facets of a team.
