Team Building Event Katholische Kirchenstiftung St. Albert
Ulm combines history, urban life and unexpected corners into the perfect setting for shared adventures.
On July 12, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. I had the pleasure of welcoming the 17 participants from the Catholic Church Foundation St. Albert at the Market Square as the team guide – the ideal starting point for our Murder Mystery Geocaching and a real highlight for a team building experience in Ulm. After a short introduction and distribution of the tablets running the app with the cases and stations, the colleagues were split into three teams and sent off to investigate.
The teams explored the city on their own, gathered clues and solved tricky puzzles at well-known spots such as Ulm Minster, the town hall and the Museum of Bread Culture. There were plenty of smiling faces, surprising aha moments and lively discussions — exactly what a good team building experience in Ulm is all about. I stayed reachable by phone throughout the tour in case questions or technical problems came up.
The competitive element provided extra motivation: points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and cleverly completed team tasks. After roughly three hours all teams returned to the Market Square for a joint debrief and awards ceremony. The weather was on our side, the mood was buoyant and everyone was proud of their team achievements.
The results reflected the close competition: winners were Team TANZAC with 225 points, followed by Team Die Besten with 195 points. In third place was Team Eulis :) with 105 points. Whether it was a head-scratching clue hunt at the Minster or a creative challenge near the museum, every group could contribute strengths and enjoy success together.
Events like this blend hands-on experience and learning in a playful way and leave a lasting impression. As a team guide I am pleased that our Murder Mystery Geocaching once again demonstrated how effective and entertaining a team building experience in Ulm can be. Anyone looking to rediscover the city will find an exciting mix of fun, team spirit and fresh perspectives.
