Team Building Event Hamburger Sparkasse AG
Timmendorfer Strand repeatedly shows its charming side and provides the perfect backdrop for shared discoveries and good spirits.
As a team guide for CityHunters I had the pleasure of leading a Geocaching event on July 16, 2024 for 18 colleagues from Hamburger Sparkasse AG. We met at the agreed meeting point on Strandallee, where I welcomed everyone, gave a brief overview of the schedule and handed out the tablets with the CityHunters app. After a short introduction the participants were divided into three teams and the adventure began.
The route took the teams across Timmendorfer Strand — past the promenade and sights such as the Waldkirche and St. Paulus — and constantly invited close observation and creative thinking. For us, a team building experience in Timmendorfer Strand means solving puzzles together, combining clues and making decisions as a group. The teams were on their own throughout the event and competed to earn the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and completing team tasks.
I stayed reachable by phone during the tour in case help was needed, and I enjoyed many motivated questions and exciting solutions. The weather cooperated, the mood was upbeat and the sense of togetherness was clearly noticeable — exactly the effect a team building experience in Timmendorfer Strand should have.
After three hours everyone met again on Strandallee for the award ceremony. In third place came the team schön&schlau with 285 points, closely followed by Bingo with 360 points. First place and the win went to the team Weil wirs können with 390 points — to everyone’s delight the winners were celebrated with medals.
Experiences like these show how much potential lies in shared challenges: fun, communication and a shared sense of achievement stay with people long after the event. Whether strolling along the promenade, exploring the Waldkirche or admiring St. Paulus — our Geocaching format blends sightseeing with genuine team spirit. Anyone wanting to experience a team building experience in Timmendorfer Strand will take home not only memories but a stronger team.
