Team Building Event A&O Shearman
The beautiful summer weather stayed with us all afternoon and set the perfect mood for our iPad Tour in Strasbourg. As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of welcoming 19 participants from A&O Shearman at 2:00 pm on July 11, 2024, at the meeting point in front of Hotel Les Haras on Rue des Glacières.
After a brief introduction to the CityHunters app and the iPads, the guests were split into four teams. The excitement was palpable: quick strategy talks, a final glance at the tasks, and the teams were off on their own — this is how a successful team building experience in Strasbourg begins.
The route led the groups past some of Strasbourg's most beautiful corners. Between the impressive Strasbourg Cathedral, modern insights at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Strasbourg, and charming alleys by historic museums, there was plenty of puzzling, researching, and laughter. The challenges combined observation, creativity, and teamwork — ideal for an effective team building experience in Strasbourg.
During the iPad Tour the teams were left to their own devices and competed in a friendly race for points. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successfully completed team tasks. I remained reachable by phone in case any questions or technical issues came up. After about 2.5 hours everyone met back at Hotel Les Haras for a joint debrief and the awards ceremony.
The tension was high: first place went to Team 2 with 155 points, followed by Walternative with 145 points and Team 1 with 140 points. The winning team received medals — a lovely finish to a day full of commitment and team spirit.
It was a thoroughly successful afternoon full of fun, exchange, and new impressions of Strasbourg. Such shared experiences create lasting memories and strengthen togetherness — exactly what a team building experience in Strasbourg makes so special.
