Team Building Event Deutsche Börse AG
Mainz blends Roman history with a lively present — the perfect backdrop for exploring together and having fun as a group.
On 10 July 2024 at 10:30 a.m. I had the pleasure of welcoming 14 colleagues from Deutsche Börse AG to Mainz central station as a CityHunters team guide. After a brief introduction to the CityHunters App and the iPads, which served as the hub of the tour, the participants were split into three teams. The excitement was tangible: a team building experience in Mainz was high on the agenda.
The iPad Tour in Mainz led the groups through the city center, past impressive sights such as Mainz Cathedral, the Electoral Palace and the Drususstein. At numerous stations the teams faced tricky puzzles and creative team tasks that earned points when solved correctly. The CityHunters App linked the teams in real time, displayed the scores and offered a motivating live chat — ideal ingredients for a team building experience in Mainz.
During the tour the teams were largely on their own and developed their own strategies: communication, speed and creative problem solving all mattered equally. I was reachable by phone at any time in case of technical questions or navigation help, allowing me to support them without interrupting the fun.
The weather was fine — pleasant enough to enjoy the city and focus on the tasks. The atmosphere stayed positive throughout: laughter, eager planning and shared small moments of success shaped the morning and made clear how much a team building experience in Mainz brings people together.
After about two and a half hours all groups met again at Mainz central station for a celebratory awards ceremony. A glance at the scoreboard made clear how different the teams strengths were — and how valuable these shared experiences are for working together.
For me as a team guide it was a great joy to see how the iPad Tour in Mainz brought colleagues together, promoted communication and delivered lots of fun. Events like this show that a team building experience in Mainz can be as varied as it is lasting.
