Team Building Event a2 consulting
Our Geocaching event combined adventure, puzzle-solving and shared discovery – that is the concept behind CityHunters, and that is how we kicked off on July 10, 2024 in Lübeck for a2 consulting.
At 10:15 AM, 19 motivated colleagues met at the Schrangen, where I welcomed them as their team guide. After a short introduction to the format and the app, participants received tablets with the CityHunters software preinstalled. The group was split into four teams and then set off for a real team building experience in Lübeck.
The route led the teams across the old town and past well-known sights such as the Holstentor, St. Marys Church and the Museumsquartier St. Annen. Along the way they faced tricky puzzles and creative team tasks that earned points. Participants had to combine clues, pay attention to details and work together – exactly what makes a team building experience in Lübeck so valuable.
During the tour the teams were mostly on their own and competed in a friendly rivalry. I was reachable by phone in case any questions or technical problems came up, and I appreciated the feedback and the good spirits along the way. The weather was fine, with pleasant warmth and a few clouds, which added to the easygoing atmosphere.
After two hours everyone gathered back at the Schrangen for the debrief and award ceremony. The tension was high as the points were added up: First place went to Team Green with 225 points – congratulations. Team Yellow came in second with 180 points, and Team Orange took third with 165 points. Above all, the joy over shared successes and the small aha moments along the way stood out.
As a team guide it was a great experience to see how solving tasks together builds team spirit. Whether taking in the view of the Holstentor or working on a puzzle in front of St. Marys Church, those moments stick. A team building experience in Lübeck combines play, culture and communication in a refreshing way.
Thanks to a2 consulting for a fantastic morning – I am already looking forward to the next round of Geocaching in Lübeck!
