Team Building Event Swietelsky Energie GmbH
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure on July 9, 2024 at 10:30 AM of leading an iPad Tour for Swietelsky Energie GmbH at Max-Joseph-Platz in Old Town — and what a lively, successful day it was. Ten participants arrived on time, were warmly welcomed and, after a short briefing on using the iPads and the CityHunters app, were divided into two teams. Thus our shared team building experience in Old Town began.
The teams received their iPads and the mission: rediscover Old Town. Our iPad Tour in Old Town combines modern technology with playful city exploration — the app displays live scores in real time, offers a motivating live chat and was the centerpiece of the competition. Participants navigated the city center independently, solved puzzles and mastered creative team tasks that demanded observation, strategy and collaboration.
Along the route we passed well-known landmarks such as the Frauenkirche, the Deutsches Museum and the New Town Hall, which provided the backdrop for various challenges. The tasks not only fostered team spirit but also offered plenty of opportunities for conversation, laughter and fresh perspectives on Old Town — precisely what makes our team building experience in Old Town so valuable.
During the roughly three-hour tour the teams were on their own, engaged in a friendly contest for the most points. I was available by phone the entire time in case technical questions or uncertainties arose — allowing the groups to focus fully on the tasks.
After three hours everyone reconvened at Max-Joseph-Platz for the awards ceremony. The winning team was DJ Daniel with 100 points. In second place was SWIE-ENERGIES, also with 100 points. A thrilling, close result that reflected the high motivation and commitment of all participants.
The weather cooperated and added to the positive atmosphere — ideal conditions for a successful team building experience in Old Town. It was great fun to watch colleagues work together, support one another and experience the city in a new way. Such iPad Tours are a lively, modern form of team building event in Old Town that will be remembered for a long time.
