Team Building Event Thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of welcoming a group of 11 colleagues from Thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH in Dortmund on July 2, 2024 at 4:45 PM. The meeting point was Hansaplatz, where I gave a short introduction and explained the rules. Each participant received a tablet with the CityHunters app already installed, which kicked off the Geocaching tour. The group split into two teams — small groups of five to six people — and off they went.
The atmosphere was energetic from the start: Geocaching in Dortmund combines puzzle fun with urban exploration and promotes exactly what we aim for — a team building experience in Dortmund. The teams navigated the city center on their own, solved tricky puzzles and completed tasks together to earn points. I remained available by phone throughout the tour in case of questions or technical issues.
The route led participants past some well-known spots and revealed unexpected views of the city. Between St. Reinoldi, the German Football Museum and Dortmund main train station, creative ideas were born, codes were cracked and team strength became visible. Geocaching in Dortmund thus becomes an experience that is both fun and bonding.
The weather cooperated: pleasantly mild and slightly cloudy, perfect for an active city challenge. The easygoing atmosphere kept laughter and motivation high. Events like this clearly show how shared experiences can positively influence the working atmosphere.
After exactly two hours all teams returned to Hansaplatz for the awards ceremony. First place went to the team Schwatz‑Gelb with 270 points, closely followed by Regenschirm with 180 points. Congratulations to both teams for their effort and outstanding teamwork.
