Team Building Event DACHSER SE

As a team guide for CityHunters, I had the pleasure of leading a lively Geocaching event for 30 colleagues from DACHSER SE in Öhringen on June 26, 2024. We met at 10:00 AM in the Im Flürle area, where I welcomed the groups, gave a brief rundown of the schedule, and helped build the excitement before we started.

Participants were split into five teams and given everything they needed for the adventure: tablets with our CityHunters app and clear instructions for the game. Shortly after, the teams set off to explore the town center — a true team building experience in Öhringen. The route led them to historic sites and hidden corners, providing the perfect backdrop to solve puzzles and complete challenges together.

During the tour the teams operated independently and competed in good spirits to score the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and for creative team tasks that tested collaboration, observation and inventiveness. I stayed reachable by phone throughout in case any questions or minor hiccups came up.

Our routes took the groups past the Stiftskirche Öhringen and other sights such as the Motor and Glass Museum Öhringen and the Kollegiatstift Öhringen. Stops like these turn Geocaching into a real experience: combining the fun of the game with local discovery — genuine team building experience in Öhringen.

The weather cooperated and helped create a festive atmosphere. After around 3 hours all teams returned to the starting point for the award ceremony. The tension was high as the scores were tallied.

In the end the team Kurdistan came out on top — officially the winning team with 0 points. The mix of competition, collaborative problem solving and city exploration made the event a complete success. Team building experience in Öhringen can be that simple and entertaining.

It was a great pleasure to lead this tour and to see team spirit and good humor grow together. I look forward to the next adventure in Öhringen with new groups and new discoveries.
