As a CityHunters team guide I kicked off an iPad Tour on June 19, 2024 at 1:30 PM for 17 employees of UNI ELEKTRO Fachgroßhandel GmbH & Co. KG. The meeting point was Victor's Residenz-Hotel Teistungenburg on Klosterweg, and after a short introduction to the CityHunters app and how to use the iPads the teams set off on their adventure. The mood was upbeat from the start — a perfect team building experience in Teistungen.
We split the group into three teams. Each team received an iPad as their hub: navigation, puzzles and interactive challenges ran through the app, which also provided live leaderboards and a motivating chat. The teams explored the town independently, discovered sights such as the Grenzlandmuseum Eichsfeld, the Cistercian convent Teistungenburg and the Church of St. Andreas, and solved tricky tasks that demanded observation, creativity and teamwork.
The weather was moody, but neither rain nor wind could dampen the good spirits. On the contrary: the challenge strengthened the sense of togetherness and gave the groups an extra boost of energy. It is precisely these conditions that make a strong team building experience in Teistungen especially memorable.
I was reachable by phone throughout the tour and was quickly on hand for small questions or technical issues. The teams operated independently, tried out different strategies and cheered each other on to top performances — exactly what we wanted for this team building event in Teistungen.
After three hours everyone met back at the hotel for a cheerful awards ceremony. The race was exciting until the very last minute: first place went to team Grüne Lotte with 175 points, closely followed by Uni Sprinters Roadrunner also with 175 points. In third place was Klaus Bärbel with 160 points. The joy over successes, the mutual support and the many laughs while solving the tasks made the finale unforgettable.
This iPad Tour once again showed how much fun and lasting growth an interactive city experience can offer. A team building experience in Teistungen combines technology, culture and collegiality in an inspiring way — an experience that lingers long after it ends.
