Team Building Event Alexion Pharma Germany GmbH
On June 13, 2024 at 5:00 PM I had the pleasure of guiding a lively iPad Murder Mystery Tour for 30 colleagues from Alexion Pharma Germany GmbH in Würzburg. The meeting point was the Würzburg Tax Office on Ludwigstraße, a central starting spot in the heart of the city where we set off together. The weather was perfect and the mood was upbeat and enthusiastic from the start.
After a short briefing I split the group into five teams. Each team received an iPad with the CityHunters app and a quick introduction to how it works. The groups were then sent out on the route: they were on their own and competing for the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles as well as for creative team tasks — exactly the mix that makes a team building experience in Würzburg so exciting.
The tour led the teams past some of Würzburgs most beautiful sights: the impressive Würzburg Residence, viewpoints looking toward Marienberg Fortress, and the historic Alte Mainbrücke. Along the way there were challenges that required true teamwork and moments when the city itself became the stage. The iPads, with map view and live location, proved to be very handy companions.
During the 1.5-hour tour I was reachable by phone in case any technical questions or uncertainties came up. The teams used the time to puzzle, discuss and combine clues — exactly what a successful team building experience in Würzburg encourages: communication, speed and shared creativity.
At the end we met back at the Tax Office on Ludwigstraße for the award ceremony. There was great joy when the winners were announced, and all participants took away not only points but above all wonderful shared memories. Events like this show how well city exploration and a team building experience in Würzburg can be combined.
As a team guide it was an outstanding evening for me: motivated people, exciting challenges and the picturesque backdrop of Würzburg — a perfect combination for successful team building in Würzburg. I look forward to the next cases and to more teams wanting to rediscover the city with us.
