Team Building Event Caritasverband Mannheim
Perfect weather accompanied us on June 7, 2024 — sunny, clear, and ideal for an active team building event in Mainz.
As a CityHunters team guide I welcomed 20 enthusiastic participants from the Caritasverband Mannheim at Karmeliterplatz at 9:30 AM. After a brief introduction we explained the plan, handed out tablets with the CityHunters app preinstalled, and split the group into five teams. The atmosphere was electric from the start: curious, motivated, and ready to rediscover Mainz.
Then we set off — a team building experience in Mainz at its liveliest. The teams embarked on our Geocaching tour through the city, followed coordinates and solved puzzles at well-known and hidden spots. Exciting challenges kept appearing: tricky codes, creative team tasks and navigation sections where sharp eyes and clear communication made the difference. Throughout the tour the teams operated independently and competed in a friendly contest for the highest score — I was reachable by phone if anyone needed assistance.
Our route led the groups to some of Mainz's most beautiful places: past Mainz Cathedral, along the path to the Electoral Palace and with views of the historic Drususstein. Between the sights there were many small aha moments, shared laughter and surprising solutions. Experiences like these strengthen collaboration — a real team building experience in Mainz that brings people together.
After three hours we met again at Karmeliterplatz for the awards ceremony. Tension was high: which team had scored the most points? The certificates and applause were the crowning finish to a morning full of energy and team spirit. Especially moving were the moments when colleagues supported one another and celebrated their successes together.
Geocaching with CityHunters is more than a Scavenger Hunt — it is a way to experience Mainz actively, to see familiar sights with fresh eyes, and to foster genuine togetherness. This makes team building experiences in Mainz playful and sustainable. I am already looking forward to the next team building event and many more encounters in this charming city.
