Team Building Event MVG
Our event concept combines adventure, puzzle-solving and shared discovery — exactly what the Geocaching experience I led as a CityHunters team guide for MVG on June 5, 2024 at 2:00 PM in Mainz delivered.
The 19 participants met punctually at Karmeliterplatz, where I welcomed them and gave a brief explanation of the game. After a short introduction to the tablets and the CityHunters app, the groups were formed: three teams then set off on a large exploration of the city.
Along the route Mainz showed itself at its best: between the impressive Mainz Cathedral, the Electoral Palace and the historic Drususstein, there were exciting tasks to solve and hidden clues to uncover. The team building experience in Mainz became very hands-on: teams cracked puzzles and mastered creative group challenges to collect points.
During the tour the groups were on their own and competed against each other in a friendly contest. Points were awarded for correctly solved tasks and clever teamwork — a great mix of brains, communication and speed. I was available by phone throughout the route in case any questions or technical problems arose.
After 2.5 hours everyone met back at Karmeliterplatz for the award ceremony. The atmosphere was lively: laughter, stories from the tour and proud winner moments shaped the finale. Experiences like this are exactly what make the team building experience in Mainz so valuable.
The good weather and the vibrant city center supported the positive atmosphere and turned the event into a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Whether exploring traces of Mogontiacum, marveling at historic churches like St. Peter, or puzzling together in front of the cathedral, the group noticeably came together.
As a guide it was wonderful to see how quickly energy and team spirit emerged. Geocaching with CityHunters remains a fantastic way to bring the team building experience in Mainz to life — active, social and full of fun.
