Team Building Event IBH Ingenieurbüro Harm Elektrotechnik GmbH
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of welcoming 35 colleagues from IBH Ingenieurbüro Harm Elektrotechnik GmbH on April 26, 2024 at 10:00. The meeting point was the rear of the Main Church St. Petri, where I greeted the group and gave a brief introduction to using the iPads and our CityHunters App. When we split into six teams there was an excited buzz in the air — a genuine team building experience in Old Town had begun.
Equipped with iPads, maps and tasks, the teams set off and discovered Old Town in a fresh, playful way. The route took them past familiar landmarks: a view of the Elbphilharmonie, a detour into the Speicherstadt and architectural highlights around the Chilehaus provided plenty of aha moments. Time and again powers of observation, creativity and team spirit were put to the test — that's exactly what makes the team building experience in Old Town so special.
During the tour the groups were on their own and competed in a friendly contest to collect the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and for creative team tasks; teams had to plan strategically and communicate well. The CityHunters App displayed the scores in real time and allowed for motivation via live chat; I was available by phone in case anyone needed assistance. The weather was only so-so, but the upbeat mood and friendly atmosphere still made the day enjoyable and energizing.
What made me especially happy was the positive dynamic: colleagues who barely knew each other before were laughing together, puzzling things out and cheering each other on. Situations like that build lasting relationships — that is a genuine team building experience in Old Town. The combination of city discovery, technology and play naturally promotes communication and cohesion.
After 2.5 hours everyone reconvened at the rear of the Main Church St. Petri for the award ceremony. The winning team received medals and the applause was loud. I thank IBH Ingenieurbüro Harm Elektrotechnik GmbH for the great event and am glad we got to experience Old Town together.
