Team Building Event Krankenhaus St. Josef Braunau, Österreich
The event concept blends city exploration, tricky puzzles and genuine togetherness into an exciting Geocaching experience — perfect for a team building experience in Salzburg.
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of welcoming 22 enthusiastic colleagues from the St. Josef Braunau hospital in Salzburg on April 20, 2024 at 1:00 PM. We met at Furtwänglerpark, and after a short briefing we split into four teams. Using the CityHunters app on the tablet, we explained the format, gave tips on navigation and tasks, and sparked the groups' curiosity about the downtown stations.
The teams set off and explored Salzburg on their own. Our route took them to well-known and lesser-known locations — places like Hohensalzburg Fortress, Mirabell Palace and Mozart's Birthplace repeatedly provided attractive backdrops for the challenges. In this form of team building experience in Salzburg, points were earned by correctly solved puzzles and creatively completed team tasks. Reasoning, communication and observational skills were all in play.
The weather was pleasant and mild, just right for strolling through the alleys of the city and soaking up Salzburg's atmosphere along the way. During the tour I was reachable by phone for all teams, so questions or minor technical issues could be resolved quickly.
After about three hours all teams gathered again in Furtwänglerpark for the joint awards ceremony. The suspense was tangible — and in the end the winning team was decided: The One and Only took the victory with 0 points. A moment of great joy and lots of laughter that underlined the positive, unifying mood of the day.
This Geocaching format is a great example of what experience-oriented team building experience in Salzburg can look like: competitive but fair, it demands creativity and strengthens cohesion. Anyone wanting to rediscover Salzburg can combine sightseeing with activity and team spirit — a combo that will be remembered for a long time.
