Team Building Event OOWV (Oldenburgisch-Ostfriesischer Wasserverband)
As a CityHunters team guide, I had the pleasure of leading a fantastic team building event for 97 colleagues from the OOWV in Bremen on April 18, 2024 at 4:30 pm. We met at the Radisson Blu Hotel on Böttcherstraße and set off in 15 eager teams. The weather cooperated and put everyone in a great mood from the start.
After a brief introduction, the teams received their tablets with the CityHunters app and headed out. Our Geocaching route took them across the city center, from well-known landmarks to hidden corners many had never noticed before. Stops around the Bremen Town Musicians, the Bremen Town Hall with the Roland, and the Bremen Cathedral proved especially popular. The challenges called for puzzle skills, creativity, and teamwork — and that combination was exactly what made the experience so appealing.
For most of the tour the teams were on their own, competing in a lively race for the highest score. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and for creative team tasks that required both brains and collaboration. I stayed reachable by phone throughout in case of technical questions or other inquiries — usually a short call or a quick look at the tablet was enough.
After 2.5 hours we met back at the Radisson Blu Hotel for the awards ceremony. The tension was palpable as scores were added up, and the cheers when the winners were announced were contagious. Moments like these show how a team building experience in Bremen brings people together: fun, competition, and shared memories arise naturally.
Geocaching is a wonderful way to rediscover the city while strengthening team spirit. Whether it’s culture, history, or surprising little alleys, a team building experience in Bremen draws colleagues closer and leaves lasting impressions. I’m already looking forward to the next adventure in this versatile city.
