Team Building Event Deutsche Lufthansa AG
Our event concept blends urban exploration, puzzle-solving and digital technology into an exciting experience — perfect for a team building experience in Vienna.
On 15.01.2024 at 3:00 PM I had the pleasure of welcoming 25 colleagues from Deutsche Lufthansa AG at the Andreas-Zelinka-Denkmal as a CityHunters team guide. After a brief introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters app, participants were split into four teams and given the rules for the high-tech Scavenger Hunt. The mix of history, culture and modern technology set a cheerful tone for the shared adventure.
The teams set off to explore Vienna in a new way: passing well-known sights such as St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Hofburg and the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna, always on the lookout for tricky puzzles and creative team challenges. The iPads served as the central hub, offering clues, tracking scores and enabling interaction via live chat. This put every team member to the test — observation, strategy and collaboration were required.
During the roughly two-hour iPad Tour the groups moved independently and competed in friendly rivalry for the highest score. I was reachable by phone in case questions arose or technical support was needed. The weather cooperated, and the relaxed atmosphere encouraged conversation and laughter — exactly what makes a good team building experience in Vienna.
After two hours we met again at the Andreas-Zelinka-Denkmal for the award ceremony. The excitement was high when the results were announced: the winning team Desperado prevailed — with a surprising score display of 0 points, which did nothing to dampen the mood. It is precisely these little surprises that make team building events unforgettable.
The iPad Tour once again showed how exploring the city and playful interaction can lead to a powerful team building experience in Vienna. It was a pleasure to see colleagues collaborating, laughing and discovering new corners of Vienna. A truly successful afternoon full of energy, fun and shared memories.
