As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of leading an iPad Murder Mystery Tour for Spryfox GmbH on December 1, 2023 at 2:00 PM — an exciting afternoon full of puzzles and teamwork. The meeting point was Luisenplatz, where I warmly welcomed the 11 participants and gave a brief introduction to the iPads and the app. From the very start you could feel the excitement: two motivated teams set off to explore the city and solve tricky cases.
The tour led the groups past highlights such as the Hochzeitsturm, the Hessisches Landesmuseum and the Russian Chapel. The iPads with their integrated map view showed the next locations, and at each stop clues, puzzles and team-based tasks awaited that allowed teams to collect points. The team building experience in Darmstadt became very practical: who communicated smartly, who distributed tasks efficiently and who kept an overview even under time pressure? The friendly competition created a great dynamic without losing sight of fun and shared moments.
During the tour the teams moved independently — I remained reachable by phone in case technical questions or uncertainties came up. This created a confident mix of freedom and support, ideal for a lasting team experience. The weather cooperated, which lifted spirits and made the city center exploration particularly enjoyable.
After about three hours everyone returned to Luisenplatz for the awards ceremony. The winners were delighted with well-deserved medals, while all participants looked back on the shared time and the aha moments. This event was a great example of how a team building experience in Darmstadt combines fun, challenge and city discovery — perfect for companies wanting to strengthen their collaboration.
