Team Building Event AGCO Deutschland GmbH
On November 29, 2023, 39 colleagues from AGCO Deutschland GmbH met for Murder Mystery Geocaching in Leipzig, and I had the pleasure of guiding them as team guide.
At Thomaskirchhof I welcomed the group, gave a brief rundown of the plan and split the participants into six teams. After a short introduction the teams received tablets with a special app that led them to the different case locations around the city. Thus began our exciting tour through Leipzig, where well-known sights became the settings for mysterious cases.
The route took the teams past the Thomaskirche, the Gewandhaus and the Nikolaikirche, among other places—ideal backdrops for our interactive game. At every stop they had to solve puzzles and complete team tasks to earn points. The participants were on their own during the tour, competing in a friendly rivalry. I stayed reachable by phone the whole time in case any questions or minor mishaps came up.
The weather was fairly mild and helped keep everyone motivated and in good spirits. It was quickly noticeable how much this format strengthens the sense of togetherness: communication, role distribution and collective problem solving came to the fore—exactly what makes a successful team building experience in Leipzig.
After three hours all teams returned to Thomaskirchhof for the awards ceremony. The tension was high as the results were announced. Surprisingly, team Tigo took the lead—officially with 0 points—and, together with the teams in the top three, received the well-deserved medals.
This Murder Mystery Geocaching once again showed how much joy active collaboration can bring. Whether exploring the University of Leipzig, puzzling in front of the Thomaskirche or working together near the Gewandhaus, a team building experience in Leipzig becomes a vivid event that lingers long after.
