Team Building Event HELM AG
Nine colleagues from HELM AG met punctually on November 14, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Schrangen — ready for an exciting Murder Mystery Geocaching in Lübeck. As team guide I welcomed the group, gave a short introduction and then split everyone into two teams before the investigations began.
Our concept blends suspense with city discovery: each team received a tablet with a dedicated app showing the criminal cases, crime scenes and tasks. With that, the group set off and explored Lübeck from a new perspective — passing the Holstentor, St. Marys Church and Lübeck Cathedral, which became varied backdrops for the puzzles.
During the tour the teams were largely on their own and engaged in a friendly competition for the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and for jointly completed team tasks that required communication, creativity and teamwork. The mood was focused but consistently upbeat.
As team guide I was reachable by phone throughout the game and assisted with minor technical questions or when a clue remained unclear. That gave participants reassurance without undermining their playful independence — exactly the mix that makes a team building experience in Lübeck so valuable.
The weather was fine and did not hold us back: a pleasant walk through the old town, past the St. Annen museum quarter and other notable spots, sparked a genuine sense of discovery. The historic settings added extra charm to the tasks and helped strengthen team cohesion.
After three hours we met again at the Schrangen for the award ceremony. All teams had fun, laughed a lot and shared their experiences — these are the moments that build relationships and show how effective a team building experience in Lübeck can be.
For me as team guide it was hugely rewarding to see colleagues support one another, get creative and celebrate successes together. This Murder Mystery Geocaching remains a great example of an active, motivating team building experience in Lübeck — exciting, entertaining and lasting in its ability to bring people together.
