Team Building Event BCD Meetings & Events
The 38 participants from BCD Meetings & Events met me at Theo-Burauen-Platz in Cologne on November 9, 2023 at 3:00 PM, full of curiosity and team spirit.
After a brief welcome and instructions colleagues were divided into six teams. Armed with a clear brief and exciting tasks the Geocaching adventure began, a perfect example of an active team building experience in Cologne. The teams set off independently, happily competing for the most points.
The route led the groups through well-known and hidden corners of the city: from the impressive Cologne Cathedral to the lively atmosphere at Hohenzollern Bridge and cultural highlights like the Museum Ludwig. At each station teams faced puzzles and challenges that required creative thinking, coordination and quick action. Points were awarded for correctly solved tasks and the joy of working together was always the main focus.
As the team guide I was reachable by phone throughout the tour and enjoyed hearing positive feedback and moments of discovery along the way. The weather cooperated so spirits remained sunny and motivated — ideal conditions for a successful team building experience in Cologne.
After exactly three hours all teams returned to Theo-Burauen-Platz. The subsequent awards ceremony provided a cheerful finale: recognition for team achievement, funny anecdotes from the treasure hunt and a shared sense of success. Moments like these show how communal challenges bring people together — a true team building experience in Cologne.
This event was not just an exciting competition but above all an opportunity to rediscover the city, strengthen collaboration and create lasting memories. Whether culture lovers or puzzle fans Geocaching offers a varied mix of adventure and teamwork and is an ideal way to bring colleagues closer together.
I am already looking forward to the next time we explore Cologne together and set team spirit in motion.
