Team Building Event L'Occitane GmbH
Düsseldorf blends tradition and modernity in a charming way — and that is exactly what we experienced on our iPad Tour on October 17, 2023.
As a team guide for CityHunters I warmly welcomed 21 colleagues from L'Occitane GmbH at 4:00 pm in front of the Evangelical Johanneskirche at Martin-Luther-Platz. After a brief introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters app, the participants were split into four teams and the adventure began.
Our iPad Tour combined a high-tech Scavenger Hunt with playful team tasks: the app linked the teams in real time, displayed scores and offered a motivating live chat. As they made their way through the city center, the groups solved puzzles, mastered creative challenges and collected valuable points. Along the way they discovered landmarks such as the Rheinturm, the Königsallee and the Museum Kunstpalast — a perfect backdrop for sustainable team building experience in Düsseldorf.
During the two hours the teams were on their own, competing in friendly rivalry for the highest score. I was reachable by phone in case of questions or technical issues, but the groups showed plenty of initiative, team spirit and joy in the game. The good weather added to the upbeat atmosphere.
The mix of strategy, speed and creative collaboration made clear why the team building experience in Düsseldorf works so well: people collaborate, get to know colleagues in a different way and experience the city from a new perspective. The iPad Tour is more than a city exploration — it is an interactive experience that creates connections.
After two hours everyone met again at the starting point for the award ceremony. During the relaxed closing, participants laughed about the best moments, shared their experiences and celebrated their team spirit. Such experiences show how effective the team building experience in Düsseldorf can be.
It was a thoroughly successful afternoon: motivated, friendly and full of positive energy — exactly what we aim for at a CityHunters event. I am already looking forward to the next team building event in Düsseldorf.
