Team Building Event MAGNA Energy Storage Systems GmbH Werk Schwäbisch
Geocaching combines fun, adventure and team spirit into a unique event concept and that was exactly how our CityHunters day in Ulm began.
On October 12, 2023 at 10:00 AM I welcomed the ten participants from MAGNA Energy Storage Systems GmbH Werk Schwäbisch at Ulm Minster. After a short introduction we explained the game format and handed out the tablets loaded with our CityHunters app. Teams formed quickly and the mission for the team building experience in Ulm was underway.
The teams set off on their own through the streets of Ulm, always keeping an eye on points and puzzles. Our route led to well-known sights like the towering Ulm Minster, the historic town hall and the Ulm Museum — everywhere there were tricky questions, creative team challenges and intriguing clues. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and well-executed tasks, which quickly led to small strategies, loud cheers and many shared moments of laughter.
As the team guide I stayed available by phone throughout the tour in case anyone needed help or a small hint. The weather cooperated, and the mood was both lively and focused — the perfect setting for a team building experience in Ulm. The mix of exploration, puzzles and time pressure brought the teams together fast and encouraged collaboration, communication and enthusiasm for problem solving.
After exactly three hours everyone met again at Ulm Minster for the award ceremony. While the scores were tallied there were approving looks, amusement at creative solutions and of course triumphant celebrations from the winners. Those shared highlights are what make the team building experience in Ulm special: immediate, hands-on moments where colleagues push themselves and come together as a team.
For me as guide it was a rewarding day: an engaged company team, lovely stops like the Museum of Bread Culture within reach, and an atmosphere where team spirit was tangible. Geocaching in Ulm remains a wonderful way to combine city discovery and a team building experience — and that is exactly what the participants experienced on that day.
