Team Building Event Heidelberg Materials
Heidelberg enchants with its history, the picturesque old town and views over the Neckar – the perfect place for a lively team building event.
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of leading a Geocaching event for 32 participants from Heidelberg Materials on October 11, 2023 at 4:30 PM. We met at Hemingway's Heidelberg, where we explained the rules and gave a short briefing in a relaxed atmosphere. Each person received the CityHunters app on a tablet, so after a brief introduction the six teams could begin the exciting competition.
The route took the groups through the charming old town – past sights such as Heidelberg Castle, the Old Bridge and the Church of the Holy Spirit. Along the way there were a variety of puzzles and team tasks to solve: creative challenges, combination puzzles and small search assignments that required careful observation. Points were awarded for correct answers, and the teams competed in good spirits to score the most points.
During the tour the teams were on their own and organized themselves independently – exactly what fosters a good team building experience. I was available by phone in case questions or technical issues arose and sent small motivational messages from time to time. The atmosphere was consistently positive; participants laughed a lot, supported one another and shared varied moments together.
After two hours everyone met back at Hemingway's Heidelberg for the awards ceremony. The highlight: the winning team unite emerged victorious with 0 points, to amused surprise and loud applause. Little anecdotes like that are part of the charm of our events and are remembered for a long time.
The perfect weather added to a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. This event clearly showed how a team building experience in Heidelberg brings not only fun and competition but real collaboration and shared successes.
