Team Building Event Deutsche Glasfaser Wholesale GmbH
In bright sunshine our iPad Tour kicked off on September 27, 2023 — perfect weather for an active afternoon of games, exploration and team spirit.
As the CityHunters team guide I welcomed the group from Deutsche Glasfaser Wholesale GmbH at 3:30 PM at the Restaurant & Biergarten Linslerhof in Überherrn. Twenty-seven participants were split into five teams, given a brief introduction to the iPad app and the rules, and then set off on their own with their digital companion. That was the start of our modern city walk: a mix of puzzles, team challenges and interesting locations — a true team building experience in Überherrn.
The route led the teams past some of the town’s notable sights: churches such as St. Peter and St. Bonifatius served as handy landmarks and provided the backdrop for several tasks. The iPad Tour revealed how much history and surprising detail Überherrn has to offer — participants observed, discussed and laughed together along the way. The CityHunters app linked the groups, showed scores in real time and encouraged clever problem solving and strategic collaboration.
During the tour the teams operated independently and enjoyed a friendly competition for the highest score. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and creatively completing the team challenges — a wonderful chance to develop skills like communication, speed and teamwork. I was available by phone throughout the event in case any technical questions or other queries came up.
After two hours all teams met again at the Restaurant & Biergarten Linslerhof for the awards ceremony. The mood was celebratory, successes were celebrated, and many took the opportunity to end the evening with a good meal.
