Team Building Event Mannheim Business School gGmbH
On 22 September 2023 at 3:30 PM I had the pleasure of serving as a CityHunters team guide for a special experience with 39 employees from the Mannheim Business School. The meeting point was the Ehrenhof at Mannheim Palace, where I warmly welcomed the group and briefly explained the concept: after a short briefing we formed six teams and handed out tablets with the preinstalled CityHunters app. I walked everyone through the flow and how to use the app before we set off.
The mood was immediately upbeat and full of anticipation — exactly the right foundation for a genuine team building experience in Mannheim. The teams began their tours independently, following intriguing coordinates that led them to both well-known and hidden spots. They tackled puzzling challenges and creative team tasks to earn points. Each team aimed for the highest score and developed great problem-solving approaches and strong team spirit along the way.
Throughout the route the groups stayed in touch with me; I was available by phone in case any questions or minor issues came up. The weather cooperated, allowing participants to fully enjoy the city atmosphere. In addition to the palace, stops included sights such as the Kunsthalle Mannheim and the National Theatre, which sparked plenty of conversation and amazement.
As a guide I am always impressed by how quickly team dynamics develop: members take on responsibility, combine skills and celebrate small successes together. That is exactly what makes a team building experience in Mannheim so effective — it combines city discovery with playful competition and genuine togetherness.
After three hours all teams reconvened at the Ehrenhof at Mannheim Palace for the awards ceremony. Excitement was high and the laughter even higher, and in the end there were not only winning teams but above all enthusiastic people who had shared a new experience. Such moments stick in the memory and strengthen cohesion in a lasting way.
Geocaching with CityHunters creates vivid memories and lasting team building experience in Mannheim. I am already looking forward to the next time we explore the city together — perhaps with stops at the Jesuit Church or the Reiss-Engelhorn Museums.
