Team Building Event Klinikum Westfalen GmbH
The concept is simple: an iPad Murder Mystery Tour turns colleagues into detectives, combining puzzling mystery fun with an active team building experience in Bonn.
On 21 September 2023 at 1:45 PM, 24 participants from Klinikum Westfalen GmbH met at our meeting point on Adenauerallee. After a warm welcome, I split the group into four teams and gave a short introduction to using the iPads and the CityHunters app. The digital map and location tracking quickly helped everyone get their bearings, so they were motivated and ready to start.
Then we were off: the teams roamed the city center, searched for clues, solved tricky puzzles, and tackled group challenges. Points were awarded for correctly solved cases and creative team solutions — the competitive spirit was palpable, but fun was always the priority. As the team guide I was reachable by phone throughout the game in case any questions or technical problems came up.
Our route led the groups past many lovely corners of Bonn. Between Beethoven House, the Bonn Minster and Poppelsdorf Palace the case stories unfolded; historic facades and lively squares became exciting stages for the game. The weather was decent and gave the afternoon a pleasant, relaxed charm — ideal for concentrating on the puzzles while enjoying the city.
This format wonderfully demonstrates how effective a team building experience in Bonn can be: it encourages communication, role distribution and creative problem solving, while everyone laughs and tinkers together. Thanks to the iPad integration the score situation remained transparent and the suspense lasted until the last minute.
After three hours all teams met back at the starting point on Adenauerallee for the awards ceremony. The atmosphere was exuberant as the winning team was announced and we looked back on a successful afternoon.
