Team Building Event ROTH Energie
Thirty employees from ROTH Energie met on 21 September 2023 at 4:30 p.m. for an exciting Geocaching event — and I had the pleasure of accompanying them as their team guide. We started on Königsstraße, where I warmly welcomed everyone, gave a brief rundown of the plan, and split the group into five teams.
Armed with tablets and the preinstalled CityHunters app, the teams set off through the city center and discovered Münster from a whole new perspective. Our route took us past well-known spots like St. Paulus Cathedral, the Prinzipalmarkt and the Prince-Bishop's Palace — perfect backdrops for tricky puzzles and creative team tasks. The team building experience in Münster revealed a wonderfully varied side.
During the tour the groups were largely on their own, competing against each other in friendly rivalry. Points were awarded for correctly solved tasks, clever combinations and collaborative actions. I was reachable by phone the whole time and ready to help with any questions or technical issues.
The weather lived up to its reputation that evening: showers and wind accompanied us. Still the atmosphere stayed energetic — splattered maps and smiling faces were just as much a part of it as clever solutions and spontaneous team spirit. Conditions like that really pull people together and show how well a genuine team building experience in Münster can work.
After about two hours and 15 minutes all teams reconvened on Königsstraße for the joint awards ceremony. The tension was high as the points were tallied, and the mood was uniformly positive — cheers from the winners, appreciative applause and plenty of laughter marked the finish. This team building event combined playful competition with real camaraderie.
As a team guide it was especially rewarding to see individual skills turn into shared achievement. Whether cracking a code near the Überwasserkirche or tackling a creative challenge at Münster City Hall, every contribution counted. The team building experience in Münster gave ROTH Energie colleagues a lively shared memory — and I’m already looking forward to the next adventure in this wonderful city.
