Team Building Event UP GmbH
On a bright, sunny day I had the pleasure of guiding a lively iPad Tour in Porta Westfalica as a CityHunters team guide.
In the morning 11 colleagues from UP GmbH met at the Waldhotel, Findelsgründ, where I welcomed them and gave a brief introduction to operating the iPads and the CityHunters app. The participants were quickly split into two teams and off they went: a team building experience in Porta Westfalica with a refreshingly different twist.
The route took the groups across town past highlights such as the Kaiser Wilhelm Monument, the local hills, and the Weser bridge. At various stations tricky puzzles and creative team tasks tested observation skills, communication, and inventiveness — exactly the ingredients that make a real team building experience in Porta Westfalica so valuable. Every correctly solved puzzle and every successful team task earned points and boosted motivation.
During the Tour the teams worked independently and could choose how to tackle the challenges. I was reachable by phone at all times if questions came up or technical help was needed — brief queries could be resolved quickly without disrupting the group experience.
After about two hours everyone met back at the Waldhotel, Findelsgründ, for the award ceremony. The mood was relaxed and joyful, with laughter, shared experiences and reflection — exactly what an effective team building experience in Porta Westfalica is all about. The winning team was Porta, which finished the day in a special way with 0 points and received lots of applause.
The combination of modern technology, exciting challenges and the beautiful backdrop of Porta Westfalica made the morning a successful team building event.
