Team Building Event Boehringer Ingelheim Corporate Center GmbH
Eight colleagues from Boehringer Ingelheim Corporate Center GmbH met on 12 September 2023 at 6:00 PM at the market square in Ulm, ready for an exciting Murder Mystery Geocaching and a genuine team building experience in Ulm.
As team guide I greeted the group briefly, explained the plan and split the participants into two teams. Armed with the app on a tablet, the teams set off to find clues, solve puzzles and complete team challenges. The city center of Ulm became the backdrop for an engaging participatory murder mystery: stops included Ulm Minster, the town hall and Museum Ulm — familiar places we discovered from a new, playful perspective.
The weather was changeable but did not dampen spirits. Rain and fresh air even added extra excitement and focus to the investigations. The tasks encouraged discussion, role allocation and quick decision making – exactly the impulses we wanted for a successful team building experience in Ulm. The teams competed in good spirit for the most points; every correct solution and successful team challenge added valuable points to the final score.
I stayed reachable by phone throughout the tour in case any questions or technical problems arose. Participants worked independently, communicated effectively and clearly enjoyed solving the cases together. The mix of digital guidance through the app and real-life encounters in the city made the event especially varied: technology meets adventure and thus fosters lasting teamwork.
After about two hours everyone reassembled at the market square for the final debrief and award ceremony. It was wonderful to see how individual colleagues had become two strong teams that had grown together. This Murder Mystery Geocaching was more than just a game: it was an experience that brought team building in Ulm to life and will be remembered for a long time.
