Team Building Event Kreisverwaltung Wesel
As a team guide for CityHunters I accompanied a special Murder Mystery Geocaching for the district administration of Wesel in Duisburg on September 6, 2023. Nine motivated colleagues met punctually at 12:30 at the Kuhtor, the perfect starting point for our team building experience in Duisburg.
After a short, concise introduction the group split into two teams. Each team received a tablet with our app, which led them to various crime scenes and presented the cases. Technology meets adventure: the app showed clues, tasks and the next stations so the teams could head off on their own, exactly as an interactive murder mystery requires.
Our search for clues took the participants past well-known spots in Duisburg, including the Salvatorkirche and the Lehmbruck Museum. The Küppersmühle Museum and Theater Duisburg also became part of the investigation. At these landmark locations the teams gathered hints, solved puzzles and completed team challenges to earn points, turning the city into an exciting playground for a genuine team building experience in Duisburg.
During the roughly three-hour tour the teams operated independently and competed in friendly rivalry for the most points. I was reachable by phone the entire time and helped when needed — a quick check-in was enough to keep the fun going.
The weather cooperated and created a great mood for everyone. In the end we all met back at the Kuhtor for the awards ceremony. I was pleased to announce the winning team: the team Blondies secured the victory with 0 points. Moments like that bring team building events to life and will be remembered for a long time.
I really enjoyed the cooperation and the group spirit.
