Team Building Event RWE Supply & Trading GmbH
Perfect late-summer weather accompanied our iPad Tour and put everyone in a good mood from the start.
On 01.09.2023 at 09:30 I met with 37 colleagues from RWE Supply & Trading at the Hanzeplein in Groningen to kick off an energetic team building event. As CityHunters Teamguide I gave a brief introduction to using the iPads and our CityHunters App before we split the group into seven teams.
Our iPad Tour playfully combined culture, history and modern technology — exactly what a team building experience in Groningen makes so exciting. Each team received an iPad as their central hub: navigation, puzzles and interactive tasks ran through the app, which also showed the scores live. That kept the excitement high throughout the tour.
The teams set off independently to explore Groningen city center: past the Groninger Museum, beneath the watch of the Martinitoren and along historic spots like the Aa-kerk, where creative solutions and cheerful competition unfolded. The challenges demanded attention to detail, team communication and inventiveness — perfect ingredients for a successful team building experience in Groningen.
I was available by phone throughout the tour in case of technical questions or clarifications. After roughly two and a half hours all groups met again at the Hanzeplein for the joint award ceremony. The atmosphere was jubilant as the top three teams received their medals and applause from colleagues.
It was especially nice to see how much the iPad Tour strengthened togetherness: laughter, strategic planning and small moments of success shaped the day. Our event demonstrated once more how effective and entertaining a team building experience in Groningen can be — a city that, with its sights and lively city center, enriches every tour.
I am already looking forward to the next time we explore the city together, tackle new challenges and bring teams closer. Groningen remains a great place for interactive team adventures.
