Team Building Event Siemens AG
The 11 participants from Siemens AG met on August 3, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Willy-Brandt-Platz in Erfurt, eager for our CityHunters Geocaching. As the team guide, I welcomed the group, gave a brief rundown of the schedule and explained the technology — tablets with the CityHunters app turned the next few hours into an interactive Scavenger Hunt through the city center.
After splitting into two teams, the adventure began: pure team building experience in Erfurt. The teams were on their own and followed coordinates to landmarks and hidden spots. Along the way they had to solve puzzles, complete team tasks, and work together smartly to collect as many points as possible. I stayed available by phone throughout the tour in case any questions or technical issues arose.
The route took the groups past some of Erfurt's most beautiful sights: from the impressive Erfurt Cathedral to the historic Krämerbrücke and the Old Synagogue — there were frequent little aha moments and plenty to talk about. Stops like these make a team building experience in Erfurt not only effective but also fun, giving participants a fresh perspective on the city.
The weather cooperated, so laughter and good spirits set the tone. Everyone contributed their strengths, and solving codes or creative challenges produced many shared moments of success. Geocaching in Erfurt combines navigation, creativity, and team spirit in a very entertaining way.
After exactly two hours all teams returned to Willy-Brandt-Platz for the joint awards ceremony. Each participant received a personalized certificate as a memento of the shared experience, and the winning team was additionally honored with medals. The mix of competition, camaraderie, and a spirit of discovery made the afternoon a real highlight.
Whether a company outing, team day, or incentive, a team building experience in Erfurt offers many ways to bring colleagues closer together. I am glad that with this Geocaching event we have once again created a lasting experience — full of energy, team spirit, and fresh impressions of Erfurt.
