Team Building Event The MathWorks GmbH
The concept of our event is simple: fun, puzzles and cooperation come together in an exciting Geocaching excursion — perfect for a team building experience in Old Town.
On 20 July 2023 at 2:30 pm I welcomed the ten participants from The MathWorks GmbH at Max-Joseph-Platz. After a brief introduction I explained the schedule and how to use the tablet with our CityHunters app. The group was split into two teams and set off, equipped with tasks, coordinates and plenty of motivation.
The tour took the teams across Old Town: repeatedly they stopped at sights such as the Frauenkirche, the Deutsches Museum and the Neues Rathaus to solve puzzles and tackle creative team challenges. Each correct solution earned points, and soon a friendly competitive spirit emerged: tactics, communication and sudden bursts of inspiration shaped the action. I was available by phone throughout the three hours for any technical questions or uncertainties, but for the most part the teams solved the tasks independently with great commitment.
Timing and mood were perfect: in wonderful weather everyone enjoyed the mix of sightseeing and tricky challenges. This Geocaching format is a wonderful team building experience in Old Town — it combines movement, puzzle fun and the shared discovery of the city's highlights. I especially appreciated how quickly collaboration deepened and how much laughter and praise sprang up along the way.
After exactly three hours everyone met again at Max-Joseph-Platz for the award ceremony. The atmosphere was cheerful and fair; the winning team deservedly received its medals, and all participants left with fresh impressions and stronger team bonds. Events like this show that a team building experience in Old Town can be not only effective but above all entertaining and lasting.
I am already looking forward to the next time colleagues want to experience a city discovery full of team spirit — whether as a company outing or a summer activity, Geocaching is a wonderful way to rediscover Old Town together.
