Team Building Event Dr. Willmar Schwabe GmbH & Co. KG, Karlsruhe
The 24 participants from Dr. Willmar Schwabe GmbH & Co. KG in Karlsruhe met early in the morning for an energetic iPad adventure in Heidelberg.
As the CityHunters team guide I welcomed the group at the Qube Hotel on Bergheimer Straße and introduced them to the secrets of our high-tech Scavenger Hunt. After a brief introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters app the colleagues were split into four teams — and off they went: a team building experience in Heidelberg that was modern, interactive and full of fun.
The tour led the teams through Heidelberg's vibrant Old Town, past iconic spots like Heidelberg Castle, the Church of the Holy Spirit and the Old Bridge. At various stations they faced puzzles, observation tasks and creative team challenges that scored points. Each team worked independently, forged its own strategies and tackled the course with great determination — exactly what makes the team building experience in Heidelberg so special.
The weather cooperated: it was decent and we were able to enjoy being outdoors, which only lifted the mood. The CityHunters app displayed live interim results and gave the groups an extra boost. If there were questions or technical issues I was reachable by phone and could provide quick support without disrupting anyone's experience.
After about 2 hours and 45 minutes everyone reunited at the Qube Hotel for a joint debrief and award ceremony. The excitement was high when the scores were announced — after all, every team had given their best. The winning team proudly received medals and was celebrated by their colleagues.
For me it was a special morning: the blend of history, technology and team spirit worked wonderfully. Participants got to know each other outside the daily work routine, laughed a lot and overcame challenges together. Experiences like these are at the heart of the team building experience in Heidelberg and stay memorable for a long time.
Whether a company outing or a departmental celebration this iPad Tour combines fun, competition and genuine togetherness. I already look forward to the next group that wants to discover Heidelberg in this interactive way.
