Team Building Event Munich Re
The weather was perfect: bright sunshine and pleasant temperatures accompanied our iPad Tour through Hohenkammer.
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of leading a team building event for 90 Munich Re employees in Hohenkammer on 17 July 2023 at 2:30 pm. The meeting point was at Hohenkammer Castle, where I warmly welcomed the group and gave a brief introduction to using the iPads and the CityHunters app. Participants were quickly divided into 13 teams and the excitement was palpable – the team building experience in Hohenkammer could begin.
Our iPad Tour combined modern technology with a playful city exploration. The app let teams compete in real time: live scores, interactive challenges, and creative puzzles ensured every team was challenged. The route led to well-known sights such as Hohenkammer Castle and the Church of St. Johannes Evangelist, as well as charming spots in the town center – all with the goal of strengthening teamwork and communication.
During the tour the teams were on their own and competed in friendly rivalry for the most points. Points were earned by correctly solving puzzles and successfully completing team tasks. I was available by phone throughout and provided support with questions or technical issues.
The atmosphere was full of joy, enthusiasm, and lots of laughter – exactly what good team building experience in Hohenkammer is all about. The combination of observation, strategy, and creativity brought colleagues closer together and encouraged exchange across departmental boundaries.
After just under three hours all teams met again for the joint award ceremony at Hohenkammer Castle. During a short debrief and the ceremonial announcement of the winners you could feel the positive energy of the afternoon once more. The team building experience in Hohenkammer thus remains not only a highlight of the workday but a day full of memories that linger long after.
