Team Building Event CML GmbH
Our Murder Mystery Geocaching blends a city tour, puzzle fun, and teamwork into a unique event concept that turns participants into detectives and lets them discover the city from new perspectives.
As team guide, on July 8, 2023 at 2:00 PM I welcomed 26 colleagues from CML GmbH at Universitätsplatz. After a short introduction we split the group into five teams and briefly explained the technology: each team worked with a tablet and our app, which displayed the cases and crime scenes. This concept brings technology together with adventure — perfect for a team building experience in Heidelberg.
The teams then set off and explored Heidelberg on their own. Stations led, among others, near Heidelberg Castle, the Church of the Holy Spirit and the Old Bridge, where familiar places became exciting scenes. The task was clear: collect clues, solve puzzles and complete team challenges — points were awarded only for correct answers and teamwork.
During the three hours of play I remained available by phone in case questions or technical problems arose. The groups, however, worked with focus and energy, laughing, discussing and deciding together on their next steps. It is precisely this dynamic that makes our Murder Mystery Geocaching an effective and entertaining tool for a team building experience in Heidelberg.
When time was up we met again at Universitätsplatz for the awards ceremony. It was wonderful to see how proud the teams were of their collaboration. The winning team received medals — a nice finish to a shared success. The perfect weather helped keep the mood bright and lively.
Events like this always show that shared challenges bring people together and reveal strengths. Whether hunting for clues at historic sites or tackling tricky team tasks — this format promotes communication, creativity and cohesion. I am already looking forward to the next Murder Mystery Geocaching, which will once again bring team building experience in Heidelberg to life.
