Team Building Event Kinderhaus Vogelstang
Perfect summer weather greeted us on July 7, 2023, showing Mannheim at its best.
As the team guide, I welcomed 23 enthusiastic participants from Kinderhaus Vogelstang at Dalbergplatz at 9:30 am. After a short introduction the groups were split into four teams and handed tablets with our special app, the central tool for our Murder Mystery Geocaching. The app pointed out the crime scenes and presented the most exciting cases to solve across the city.
With plenty of playfulness and team spirit the teams set off through Mannheim on their own. Our concept combines adventure with learning: participants collected clues, analyzed traces, and solved tricky puzzles. Familiar places turned into an exciting stage — passing Mannheim Palace, the Kunsthalle Mannheim and the Jesuit Church, the groups discovered the city from a new perspective.
The competition for the most points added extra drive. Points were awarded not only for correctly solving puzzles but also for joint team tasks that relied on communication and cooperation. I stayed reachable by phone throughout the tour to help with questions or technical issues, but the teams were largely on their own, which further strengthened their cohesion.
After exactly three hours we met again at Dalbergplatz for the award ceremony. The atmosphere was cheerful and relaxed; many teams had not only scored points but also discovered new sides of each other. The event clearly demonstrated how a team building experience in Mannheim can be fun while promoting cooperation.
It is hard to imagine a better team building experience in Mannheim: historic city locations, creative challenges and the right amount of competition make events like this lasting memories. As a team guide it was especially rewarding to see how people from very different backgrounds came together to form a strong team.
