Team Building Event Doka GmbH
The day started with perfect summer weather that already lifted everyone's spirits at the meeting point.
As a team guide for CityHunters, I had the pleasure of leading an iPad Murder Mystery Tour for 48 employees of Doka GmbH in Amstetten on July 3, 2023, at 12:30 PM. We met at the Stadtbrauhof on the main square, where I warmly welcomed the group and gave a short introduction to using the iPads. The participants received the CityHunters app, a brief briefing, and then we were off: a team building experience in Amstetten that was exciting and playful.
The group was divided into seven teams. With the map and location feature on their tablets, the teams set out and independently solved tricky puzzles and creative team challenges. The digital murder mystery story led colleagues past well-known spots in Amstetten: by the parish church Amstetten-St. Stephan, with views of Schloss Edla, and past the historic convent church of the School Sisters — the town provided a varied backdrop for our cases.
There was lively competition throughout the tour: points were awarded for correctly solving the cases and for successfully completed team tasks. I was reachable by phone the entire time and provided support with technical questions or uncertainties, but only stepped in when it was really necessary. That created a great mix of independent problem solving and reassuring guidance — a true team building experience in Amstetten.
After three hours all teams gathered again at the Stadtbrauhof on the main square for the award ceremony. Everyone cheered when the winning team received their well-deserved medals. The upbeat atmosphere, the many laughs, and the palpable camaraderie among colleagues showed how effective and entertaining such a team building event can be.
The iPad Murder Mystery Tour once again proved that a team building experience in Amstetten can be exciting, digital, and help create lasting connections.
