Team Building Event Elbkinder Kita Rahlstedter Bahnhofstraße

21 enthusiastic participants from the Elbkinder daycare on Rahlstedter Bahnhofstraße gathered on July 3, 2023 at 12:00 PM for a joint mission in Old Town.

I met the group at the back of St. Peter's Church, gave a short introduction and split the participants into four eager teams. Each team received the necessary information and was equipped with a tablet — the app guided the groups to the next crime scenes and presented the tricky cases to solve. This turned Murder Mystery Geocaching into an interactive whodunit and at the same time a perfect team building event.

Then they set off: the teams explored Old Town from a new perspective, passing landmarks such as the Elbphilharmonie, the Speicherstadt and the Chilehaus. Along the route they gathered clues, solved puzzles and completed team challenges to earn points — all in a friendly competition to see who could solve the most cases. It quickly became clear how effective a team building experience in Old Town can be: communication, creativity and a shared plan pushed the groups forward.

We were challenged by the weather — wind and rain added extra drama — but that only made the atmosphere more exciting and strengthened the bonds. The teams handled the conditions in good spirits and with real camaraderie; the bad weather became an anecdote rather than a setback.

During the tour I was reachable by phone and provided support when advice or technical help was needed. After exactly three hours everyone reconvened at the back of St. Peter's Church for the awards ceremony. It was a lovely finale: recognition for creative solutions, laughter over shared experiences and the satisfying feeling of having achieved something together.

This Murder Mystery Geocaching is a great example of how a team building experience in Old Town can succeed playfully. The combination of city exploration, puzzles and a shared challenge turns such events into lasting experiences. Congratulations to all teams — it was a pleasure to accompany you on this exciting trail through Old Town.
