Team Building Event Capgemini
Our event concept combines modern technology with playful discovery of the city – the iPad Tour is the perfect blend of history, culture and teamwork.
On 29.06.2023 at 5:45 PM I had the pleasure of guiding a great company event for 24 Capgemini employees in Nuremberg as a CityHunters team guide. The meeting point was Klarissenplatz, where I warmly welcomed the group and gave a brief introduction to using the iPads and the CityHunters app. After the briefing the participants were split into four teams and received their devices – then the adventure began.
During the tour through Nuremberg the teams explored well-known spots and charming alleys. Stops included Nuremberg Castle, St. Lorenz and the Albrecht Dürer House. The tasks required attention to detail, creativity and team spirit: solving puzzles, mastering short team challenges and tackling tricky tasks – all linked through the app, which showed the scores live.
The teams were left to their own devices during the tour and competed against each other in a friendly rivalry. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successful team tasks. I was reachable by phone the whole time in case questions or technical issues arose, but group coordination was intentionally kept low-key – creating space for initiative and exactly the kind of fun that a team building experience in Nuremberg brings to life.
The weather cooperated and provided perfect conditions: sunny evening hours, pleasant temperatures and a great atmosphere in the city. The mix of a high-tech Scavenger Hunt and city exploration turned the event into an intense experience where communication and collaboration were the focus.
After about an hour and 45 minutes all teams met back at Klarissenplatz for the joint award ceremony. When the winners were announced there was laughter, pride and collegial applause – exactly the outcome we hope for from a successful team building experience in Nuremberg.
