Team Building Event FILK Freiberg Institute gGmbH
Freiberg impresses with its rich mining heritage, historic squares and a lively town center – the perfect setting for an active team building event.
As a CityHunters Teamguide, I had the pleasure on June 28, 2023 at 4:00 PM of leading an iPad Tour for 105 employees of the FILK Freiberg Institute gGmbH. We met in front of the main entrance of the Nikolaikirche, where I welcomed everyone and gave a brief introduction to using the iPads and our CityHunters App. The participants were then split into 16 teams and set off on their adventure.
Our iPad Tour combined modern technology with playful city exploration – ideal for a genuine team building experience in Freiberg. The teams navigated the town center on their own, solved puzzles and completed team challenges at various stations. Along the way they came across landmarks such as the Freiberger Cathedral, the bustling Obermarkt and Freudenstein Castle, which repeatedly served as backdrops for creative tasks.
The CityHunters App acted as the central hub: tasks, scoreboards and a live chat kept groups motivated and competing for the highest score. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and for successful team challenges – with every solved task the excitement grew. During the tour I was available by phone in case any questions or technical issues arose.
After exactly two hours all teams returned to the starting point for a joint awards ceremony. With perfect weather the mood was jubilant, people celebrated their successes and praised particularly inventive solutions. Moments like these make a team building experience in Freiberg so valuable: colleagues discover new sides of one another and strengthen their bonds.
For me as a guide these tours are always special: they show how much fun city exploration and collaboration can be. Whether as a company outing or a company summer party – our iPad Tours offer an interactive team building experience in Freiberg, combining culture, play and technology and leaving lasting memories. Many teams then rounded off the evening relaxing in one of the town's lovely restaurants.
